Rooted in Sibuyan.
Working for our common home.
Ecology, justice, and community.
My work begins in Sibuyan Island and extends to the wider struggles for ecological integrity, climate justice, and the dignity of communities. I work across local advocacy, public policy, faith, and international climate action—always returning to the places and people from which these commitments grew.
This site gathers that journey: stories from Sibuyan, reflections on our common home, environmental and climate advocacy, public policy, writings, and the communities and movements I have been privileged to work with.

SIBUYAN ISLAND
Where everything begins.
Sibuyan is home, community, and the ecological ground of much of my work. Its forests, rivers, mountains, biodiversity, and people have shaped how I understand development, justice, and our responsibility to future generations.
THE WORK
From island struggles to climate action.
My work moves across interconnected spaces—from protecting biodiversity and supporting communities to climate policy, faith-based action, and international advocacy. At their heart is one question: how do we protect our common home while ensuring justice for the people who depend on it?

WRITINGS & REFLECTIONS
Thinking from the island outward.
I write from the intersection of place, ecology, justice, faith, and public life—drawing from experiences in Sibuyan and the communities and movements I work with.

ENGAGEMENTS
From Sibuyan to the wider world.
That would let us present your local, national, faith-based, and international engagements without turning the homepage into an organizational résumé. It also creates a natural progression:
LOCAL
Sibuyan & Romblon
Community action, biodiversity conservation, environmental defense, and participatory local governance.
NATIONAL
Climate & Environmental Advocacy
Building movements and engaging public policy for climate justice, ecological integrity, accountability, and a just transition.
FAITH
Integral Ecology
Working with Catholic, ecumenical and faith communities to translate Laudato Si’ into formation, advocacy, and collective action.
GLOBAL
International Climate & Biodiversity
Bringing community perspectives into regional and global processes on climate change, biodiversity, human rights, and environmental justice.
A LIFE ROOTED IN PLACE
To care is to belong.
Sibuyan taught me that care begins with belonging—to a place, to a community, and to one another. The forests, rivers, mountains, seas, and communities of the island are not simply the setting of my work. They are part of how I learned to understand responsibility.
Over the years, that sense of belonging has taken me into different spaces—from community gatherings and public institutions to faith communities and international processes. Yet I continue to return to the same conviction: our common home is not an abstraction. It is made of particular places, relationships, memories, struggles, and hopes.
For me, ecology is ultimately about relationship: how we live with the Earth, how we live with one another, and what kind of world we choose to leave to those who come after us.
